Each time I smell freshly ground coffee, I am always taken back to the same place: the coffee merchant Place Richelme, in my hometown of Aix-en-Provence.
Whenever I went there the woman behind the counter always gave me a Pierrot Gourmand lollypop and would always mention how cute I was. Plus the nearby copy of Florence’s Fountain of the Piglet always cracked me up as a child (I would always want to touch ‘the beast’).
Freshly ground coffee, Place Richelme, Pierrot Gourmand, Florence, this sounds like an episode of Connections!

At the age of 29 I have become excited about vacuuming. And I have one thing to say: do get a vacuum with a transparent chamber, so you can see your progress and the crap you won’t be breathing anymore. Very satisfying.
And this is what I had for dinner tonight: scrambled tofu on rye bread.
