I think it is called ‘Règles typographiques’ because her eyebrows look like beautiful accents.

Hollie tagged me to list 6 things that make me happy. My list will be very predictable:
- Christian and Mira (my little family) I love them, we’re together all the time.
- My French-English family back in France (the UK being proudly represented by my brother-in-law David) I love them too, I haven’t seen them in years and I really want to hug them.
- My friends, old and new.
- Being a vegetarian, leaning towards vegan right now.
- Order, cleanliness, the colour white, clean laundry, clean sheets and pyjamas (this is in one bundle because of a coherent theme).
- Speaking French, watching films in French, hearing French spoken, looking at photos of France, reading in French, dreaming in French – all these things make me vibrate on a particular frequency and give me an indescribable feeling of recognition and belonging.
- Can I get one more? Thrifting! I haven’t bought any new clothes (apart from underpants) in over a year. I love it (except I still haven’t found a good pair of trousers in all this time).

Phantom film
I know I watched this film but it was at 4 in the morning for some reason. So it’s almost like a phantom memory, where I’m not entirely sure it happened or not.
In my sleep deprived daze, I remember really liking one of the last little episodes, where this American tourist narrates her trip in French with a really pronounced accent. She comments on eating a sandwich and says ‘c’était très bon’. If you want to make me laugh, saying that in French with a pronounced American accent is the way to go.
Christian does it sometimes. He’s awesome.

Every other Tuesday
I get a home delivery of organic vegetables and I kind of look forward to it. I like to open the box and see what I got, and start thinking about what to make.
Highlights from today include: broccoli (yay!)*, Brussel sprouts (yay!)*, courgettes (yay!), and wait a minute, what the hell is that???
That’s right: like the 15 year old little guy at the supermarket checkout, I have come across an unknown vegetable**. Now who to turn to to shed some light on this?
*You’re not getting Punk’ed, I really do like them.
**True story: I had to announce the name of a few things in my basket to the poor bugger.
I forgot
When trying to exercise at home (yes, it happens) down on the floor, you become very interesting to Mira.
You then have to dodge attempted scratches to your face, attempted sniffs and licks, and will end up with a pile of toys deposited on your stomach.
Say what you want, she’s cute.
Red and grey
I like to be deliberate with my choice of socks, even if they’re going to be hidden inside my boots and no one will see ‘em.
And I like them not to clash with what I’m wearing either. And look pretty good.
