I’m on a horse

‘Really?’ you ask.
Well, no. The closest I ever got was a pony ride when I was 6. ’Being on a horse’ in French (‘Être à cheval’, the literal translation) means to have beliefs or principles that are non negotiable. So for tonight, I will tell you a few things I’m on a horse about:
- Crap food (with letters, numbers and colours as ingredients).
- Screaming on the street: I am easily startled (remember?).
- Bad hygiene: disrespectful (please smell nice in public places) and just plain gross.
- Tracksuit pants or tops when not exercising. I don’t care how comfortable they are.
- Rudeness.
- Wearing a skirt over pants, which every girl in Melbourne seemed to insist on doing in 2002. I’m still scarred.
- Using French words for effect while speaking another language and getting the spelling (accents people!) or gender wrong. I know, I’m a snob.
Maybe in retrospect not such a good idea to share things that irritate me before my bedtime. Now I’m all worked up.
