A Daily Thing

Vroum

Posted in regular by Sabine on March 29, 2010

From Friday to Sunday a bunch of men in jumpsuits and helmets drove their cars really fast around Albert Park lake, exactly like in that picture (no, not really).

We live pretty close so for three days we heard what seemed like an industrious angry bee swarm every afternoon.

All this culminated in a freaking fighter jet flying circles yesterday just before the big race, and it was SO loud and boomed SO much, when we went out on our balcony to see it I hid behind Christian.  Just a little.

I love this poster by the way, which I believe can be picked up from the one place where I would spend a lot of my money in a heartbeat: Galerie Montmartre in Fitzroy.  Vroum.

    hello lovely
i kind of loved the big jet. It was pretty awesome when it flew straight up. so loud and scary though! its even scarier to think of having 20 of them (or more) flying over your city dropping bombs. Stupid Australia celebrating stupid things.

    xoxoxoxo Must meet up soon.

    Lizzie!
The fighter jet’s boom was quite impressive wasn’t it! You’re right, I wouldn’t like to be on the wrong end of a bomb it just dropped ;)
We MUST meet up soon because I’ve got your birthday present sorted pretty lady!
PS: you MUST wear your hair down and with teeny braids again: you looked so beautiful! And forgive me for grabbing a handful of your hair and sniffing it last week – and I only had 1 glass of cider at that! The shame…. It smelt amazing though ;)
    xxxxxxx
