Missing our naps together, and my face and neck being tickled by her beard.
PS: see my chubby cheek? From certain angles I look like a hamster stashing grain inside his mouth. Mira didn’t care.

Sabine,
I just came across your lovely little blog…and I read Mira’s story…I am so sorry…I don’t even know what to write…I just wanted to let you know, I have been there 2 times and I know how incredibly hard it is…and there is never the right thing to say…just know you are not alone…and it will get better!
She will always be there with you!
Chrissy, I’m sorry it took me so long to reply to your lovely heartwarming comment. Just when I thought I could sit down and type something tears would come rolling down.
I am amazed by the kindness of what you wrote, and it was exactly what I needed to hear… It feels so unfair to have to live without Mira around, without her friendship and dark sparkling little eyes – but it is true: it is getting better and that in itself is a relief but it is sad too…
I read somewhere dogs are never with you for long enough but they give you love that lasts a lifetime. In our case it’s so true…
I hope yours did the same for you :)
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your comment.
