It’s too pretty to be thrown away just like that, but I probably won’t ever have a use for it. What do I do with it then?
My madeleine

Each time I smell freshly ground coffee, I am always taken back to the same place: the coffee merchant Place Richelme, in my hometown of Aix-en-Provence.
Whenever I went there the woman behind the counter always gave me a Pierrot Gourmand lollypop and would always mention how cute I was. Plus the nearby copy of Florence’s Fountain of the Piglet always cracked me up as a child (I would always want to touch ‘the beast’).
Freshly ground coffee, Place Richelme, Pierrot Gourmand, Florence, this sounds like an episode of Connections!

Charles Bremner and philosophy
I remember like it was yesterday my philosophy bac exam. I was strangely calm and distributing tissues to my friends who were crying before going in. We were sitting it in a different high school from ours which gave it all a slightly alien feeling.
I was sitting at the far end of the classroom, to the left. We were sorted by alphabetical order, and we had 2 desks to ourselves. My friend Carole was sitting to my right across a small aisle and during the 4 following hours made some random faces at me that of course threw me into fits of giggles.
We were allowed snacks and water, and I had a yummy almond meal bar at one point.
4 hours of work on a topic, and would you believe I don’t even remember what it was…. I got an 11 out of 20, not great…. I wonder if I would even get a 10 if I sat the philosophy bac again today?
Bubbles
Today I tidied up, vacuumed, made silverbeet quiches, and blew bubbles with my adorable friend.
